Some of the most medically fragile children in the nation will get the help they need thanks to a $29,930 Health Foundation grant for ground breaking new technologies provided to the Broward Children’s Center . The new technologies allow for the secure and rapid microwave transfer of critical patient information between 11 different locations offering medical, educational, and daily living services to children with disabilities.
“Effective special needs care relies on many different professionals working together and sharing treatment ideas and that requires fast, efficient, and secure information exchange,” said Center CEO, Marjorie Evans. “This grant enables coordinated, responsive care which results in healthier, happier children.
