Health Foundation’s efforts are concentrated on our specific Priority Areas: Behavioral Health, Healthy Eating Active Communities and Primary Care. To ensure flexibility and responsiveness to other key health issues, Other Community Health Needs supports projects that are outside of those areas. Projects considered for funding through Other Community Health Needs address workforce development, health system data analysis, injury prevention, oral health and preventive health measures.
For example, preventive health measures encompass a variety of interventions that can be undertaken to prevent or delay the occurrence of diseases or reduce further transmission or exposure to disease. Specific areas of interest include breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening; tobacco use; and substance abuse.
We welcome Concept Proposals for Other Community Health Needs year around. Please submit a Concept Proposal for initial review by using the Foundation’s online Portal. For additional information, please call the Foundation at 305-374-7200.
